Sip Smart! BC

"The Sip Smart! BC Program is designed to raise awareness among Grade 4, 5 and 6 students of the positive benefits of healthy drink choices. Sip Smart! BC activities engage students verbally, visually, and experientially in the learning process. It has been a favourite resource for teachers since 2009!

Sip Smart! BC includes handouts, overheads, assessment tools, posters, and teacher backgrounders with updated nutrition information. Ideas extend learning beyond the classroom to the whole school, home and community. A family information booklet is also available in four languages: English, French, Punjabi, Chinese.

Sip Smart! BC has a new look but the same great activities to help your students make healthy drink choices.  Activity objectives fit well with the Curricular Competencies and Concepts in the Physical and Health Education (PHE) and Science areas of BC’s 2016 curriculum. Look for a set of the updated Sip Smart! BC program – one complete set will be available to BC schools with Grades 4-6!

The Sip Smart! BC update is a partnership between the BC Pediatric Society and the B.C. Government."
