Maple Ridge -Pitt Meadows School District’s students are creating and sharing cards with seniors in their community to remind them that they are not alone. The project is called Cards of Hope and was started by Kanaka Creek kindergarten teacher Dawn Flanagan who was collecting artwork from her school to share with seniors. Now, she is receiving submissions from the entire school district and beyond. Cards of Hope is a great project for any teacher to use as a social emotional learning (SEL) project with their students.
