ERASE -Expect Respect and a Safe Education

The ERASE strategy is a comprehensive and multi-pronged approach to promote positive mental health and wellness and prevent bullying and violent behaviours in schools.

ERASE is all about building safe and caring school communities . This includes empowering students, parents, educators and the community partners who support them to get help with challenges, report concerns to schools, and learn about complex issues facing students.

The website contains teacher tools, videos infographics on topics including: online safety, mental health and well-being, bullying and violence, substance use, sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI).

Training for staff and community partners who support school safety is also available.

The ERASE strategy includes a coordinated approach involving schools, families and community partners.

The strategy also includes the ERASE web site, a portal that provides parents and students with helpful tips and advice on how to address bullying. The site also includes a confidential online reporting tool for youth to report bullying (available in both English and French).
